The VRWC is BACK

by Ronald A. Rowe September 30th, 2009 | General Politics, Political Opinions, Republican Reflections
Continuing our unintended series of "Why Ex-Presidents Should Just Shut Up", Bill Clinton has thrust himself back into the news this week by insisting that the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" is back in action.  For those with short memories or young lives, the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy (let's call it the VRWC for short) is a non-existent organized attack on Bill Clinton that then-first lady Hillary Clinton made up as an excuse for the negative publicity her husband received for seducing and carrying on an affair with a 22 year old girl and then lying about it on live TV.

If Jimmy Carter Says So

by Ronald A. Rowe September 23rd, 2009 | General Politics, Political Humor, Political Opinions
According to the standard set by our beloved 39th president, I guess I'm a racist.  Funny, I never thought of myself as such.  But I disagree with our current president's socialist agenda, so Jimmy Carter has labeled me a racist. According to the worst president of the last seven or eight decades, anyone who opposes President Obama does so strictly because of the color of his skin.

The Ex Green Czar

by Ronald A. Rowe September 10th, 2009 | General Politics, Political Opinions, Presidential News
Van Jones is now officially the "Ex-Green Czar" of the United States of America. Jones resigned today in what may be the snippiest and most ungracious resignation speech ever given.

The White House says that Jones was going to "get in the way" of Benevolent Ruler Obama's plans. Jones says that he was the target of a "vicious smear campaign". So, why did ol' Van get the ax?

The short answer is: the Internet.

The somewhat longer answer is that Jones has a long history of doing the sort of things that most American's don't much like, and somebody uncovered

Ted Kennedy, RIP

by Ronald A. Rowe September 2nd, 2009 | Congress, General Politics, Political Opinions
Ted Kennedy passed away this week. It didn't receive the same coverage that Michael Jackson's death did, but chances are you probably heard a little something about it these past few days.  At first, the death of the popular, long time senator looked like it would be one of those moments that transcends politics and brings Republicans and Democrats together in common mourning.  And it was, for about fifteen minutes.

Then, the Democrats started their political wrangling.  Before Teddy was buried, Democrats in Massachusetts started plotting to subvert the state law that requires a special election to replace a senator
